Personal Development
At Burwell Village College Primary School, we believe education is about much more than academic achievement. We are committed to helping every child grow into a confident, compassionate and capable individual through a wide range of experiences embedded across the curriculum, enrichment opportunities and daily school life.
Our personal development programme encourages children to be inquisitive about the world around them, aspirational in their goals and respectful towards others. We want every pupil to leave our school as a resilient, enthusiastic learner who is well prepared for the next stage of their journey.
Our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education (Cycle A & Cycle B) is integral to our curriculum as a whole – it is weaved throughout subjects and school life at Burwell Village College Primary School. Our curriculum gives children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to stay healthy and safe whilst developing positive and worthwhile relationships. Children gain an understanding of the world around them and are able to use this knowledge to learn how to respect difference and diversity – entering the wider world as well-rounded citizens.
