At Burwell, we place a great importance on reading; ensuring that pupils are exposed to a range of high-quality literature. Our year group books open children’s eyes to the worlds and experiences beyond their own. These books have been carefully selected to ensure a breadth of authors, genres, conventions and themes are covered, whilst addressing key social, moral and cultural topics. These books will be read to the children each day across the year.
