Road Safety Campaign
As part of Road Safety Week, all pupils attended an assembly to learn how to stay safe when they are out in the community. Using what they had learnt, all pupils were invited to create a road safety poster. The poster could focus on one aspect of road safety, such as speed, visibility, road crossing etc, or it could include a number of helpful reminders.
Turners visited the school with an artic HGV cab. All pupils had the opportunity to get up close to the vehicle to gain a better understanding of its size. They were also able to sit in the cab and see for themselves the view of a driver including the blind spots.
A winner was selected from each year group at the end of the autumn term. Each pupil received 10 points for their house and a goody bag, which was supplied by Turners. The winners’ designs have been proudly displayed at one of the local shops, Tina’s.
