Reading in Unusual Places
As Miss Fox’ book cover competition was extremely popular last half-term, we decided to continue with this theme – the love of reading – for this term’s House Competition.
We asked the children to take a photograph of themselves reading in a strange, creative or out-of-the-ordinary place. One photograph was the minimum requirement for entry. However, pupils were encouraged to challenge themselves by creating a reading in unusual places diary over the course of a week or over a few weekends. It was entirely up to the pupils to decide
how best to present their photograph(s).

All entries were awarded a house point for participation. A winner was selected from each year group. The winners were awarded ten additional house points and a £5 gift voucher.
